Hi All sorry for the long wait but as some of you may know I lost my Dad to Cancer recently and have been a bit all over the place since. Thanks for all the good will and offers of help.

The Updates to the thunder drum site are a Great Interview with Soulweavers drummer and all round nice guy Philip Bryant.

On the Exhibit A front we are charging ahead with righting and also getting the set ready for the two upcoming gigs at Rega in Southend and seaxe bar in Brentwood. We are also hoping to air a new song for the Seaxe bar which is the 7/4, 4/4,8/4, 9/4 and 5/4 time sig mini epic (should be fun).

I am finally getting my re-recordings done on my home studio and hope to have a couple of songs finished in the next couple of weeks.

I’m hoping to have a few more interviews soon so keep an eye out.

Hi all yay great gig at CRF the band really had a blast, great sound, band really tight, Good crowd,

Think the Bass player and Singer got interviewed by Radio and plenty of good feedback from all around.

Made good sales on CD’s and the key rings were very popular.

3rd song in I managed to cut my hand so lots of blood but hay that’s rock and roll.

Ive put some pic’s in the pic section CRF file and 3 vids of the band in the Video section.

I had a chat to few drummers there and hope to do some interviews with them and put some pics up over the next few weeks. One of guys had an original Blue Ludwig Vista light kit.

So Back from the gig and straight back to righting new material for the next CD we are totally fired up, as well as sorting out all the recordings I have on my home studio.

Hi Peeps.

At the mo Exhibit A are chopping and changing the set list for the up and coming gigs, one is a 50min slot the other is a 90/ min slot.

Tomorrow we have our last rehearsal before the Cambridge Rock fest so no pressure.

It’s been confirmed that we will be supporting landmarq at the Rega in Nov just before the Brentwood gig which should be fun.

At the Brentwood gig we should be playing two new songs and possibly a third.

There is an update in the news section Re- Gigs dates.

We have also been working on a new cover and still righting new material we have demoed 2 songs with two more to be demoed and several ideas in the offing.

Due to being busy I haven’t had much of a chance to work on the other projects but hopefully I can now wade in and start to sort them soon.

I’m hoping to have a nice right up and some pics after Cambridge.

Well here we are again.

Had a great gig on Friday at Brentwood got a couple of pics which are in the photo file’s, we played a couple of new tracks which went well and the new additions of equipment i.e. my Simmons SDMP1, Steve’s bass pedals, Nicks homemade Guitar Fx’s all went well. We also changed one or two of the starts and endings and a good time was had by all, Now looking forward to Classic Rock gig in Cambridge also sounds like there will be 2 other gigs in the offing will let you know about them when they happen.

Tonight we will be back righting new stuff for the next CD.

There are some new pics in the picture folders manly from Gig and Rehearsal Many thanks to Jill,Steff and Mark for taking the pic's.

I’ve spent the last 2 weeks going through and recording demo drums etc. on the recordings I’ve made on my studio and have about 10 songs there about 50/50 Jazz based or ambient style.

I’ll probably start rearranging them and re-recording them soon, will also be getting a few friends to add Guitar, some Bass and added percussion.

I could and will do most of the percussion myself but it would be nice to get some input from my drum buds and generally have a laugh.

Had some emails and a meet with my old Autogenic Bud and that project looks set to start in August sometime with all new Vocals on them.

Well here we are again. Exhibit-A are surging ahead with the songs for the new CD, at the moment we are still working on the arrangement of Lost Souls and started on a new track.

Exhibit Spent the night practicing the set for the gigs at Seaxs Bar and the Cambridge rock festival this week and it sounded good.

On the home front I’ve been working on the songs/ Tunes that I have on my Studio and have started on three tracks named Latin, CAZ F and Snoop.( I will probably rename them soon).I re-recorded the drums, Bass and Main Piano/synth still a lot to do and ill probably get someone else to redo the bass again.

I also spoke to my partner in crime Mark from the Autogenic days and we will be re-recording some of the tracks that we recorded and adding the vocals in August.

The Vocalist will be Sarah and has a great voice. Not shore as to how we will put the Songs out but hopefully we will get them out in the public domain by the end of this year.

This week on the Exhibit A front we spent most of our time working on a cover for the Gig in Brentwood and re arranged lost souls which is sounding better all the time.

We also jammed around a new riff which sounded very much in the vein of Yes and has a lot of potential.

I started to program the Percussion pattern for losing our Voices on the Simmons and had a bit of a mare with it but got it all sorted in the end its amazing how frustrating Tec can be.

This month I’ve been clearing out my studio and have been going through the recordings I have.

There are about 30 tunes/pieces of music so I’m going to spend some time going through them maybe re-recording them or bits of them and then possibly put them out in the public domain in some shape or form.

I have also been looking at the Schedule for BYBA/DCUK /SPBA marching band show’s and hope to attend a couple this year, so looking forward to catching up with some old friends.

Cheers for now

Ha so here we are on blog number 2…….

Exhibit A -have as near as dam it finished a new song “Behind the Lines”. It’s a nice 4/4 tune with a bit of 7/4 thrown in and I am using Roto Tom samples off my Simmons SDMP1 Percussion Pad.

I love Roto toms the problem is I keep playing parts from Level 42’s first three albums & Duran Duran’s first Album. He he.

I’m also using a Simmons clap sample to underline the snare every so often.

Also we worked on a 7/8 song called “Lost Souls” it’s got a great 4/4 Chorus and a good all round feel to it and I get to use Octoban Samples. I’ve always wanted a set of Octobans ever since I saw Simon Phillips & Stuart Copland use them.

The foot pedals for the percussion pads have arrived so I can use them in writing rehearsals. This save‘s having to take the whole kit.

Ill uploads a couple of pics later, and anyone interested I’m wearing my new Dramatis t-shirt.

Cheers for now

Hi All welcome to my first blog  I’ll be trying to update this blog every week hopefully.

Firstly Exhibit A have demoed 3 song and have 2 songs on the go at the moment one in7/4 with a 4/4 bit in it and the other a 4/4 with a7/4 bit in it.

This weekend I’ll be adding a foot pedal to the alesis percussion pads for use in rehearsals when righting new stuff.

Also I have to copy over the percussion pattern from my QY70 to my Simmons SDMP1.

Seeing as I’m not 100% up on how it works it could be interesting.
